At the age of 16, Martha gave birth to a daughter, named Annie (later known as Mary Ann). Annie was Martha's only child to live to maturity. Annie's father is not known, but it is believed that Annie's father was David Absalom COLLINS (b. 1875).

In about 1900, Martha Elizabeth married Elisha H. DALTON; he died in 1903. With Elisha, she had two children who died as babies: Bertha, born about 1901; and Lo-Edith, born about 1902.

In July 1905, as the widow Dalton, she married Harry Cecil STIMPSON.

OBITUARY:
STIMPSON, Martha (Martha Elizabeth "Lizzie" Hufferd Dalton Stimpson) The Iola Register, November 21, 1940

STIMPSON -- Rites for Mrs. Martha Stimpson, 62, who died Wednesday, November 20 at her home 311 South Ohio were held Friday afternoon at the Waugh Chapel. Mrs. Stimpson is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Anna Sinclair, Iola, two sisters, Mrs. Alice Tate, Iola, and Mrs. Edith Geller, Coffeyville; four brothers, Frank Hufferd, Bartlesville, Okla.; and Jess, George and Daniel Hufferd all of Iola, four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

NOTE: Obituary is clearly dated November 21, 1940, and reports that Martha died on November 20. However, the cemetery listing has her death date as 11/23/1954; there is no grave stone. That record in the cemetery office has to be incorrect.
