KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Audie Mae Goff Carter, 89, died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1999, in Knoxville.
Mrs. Carter was born March 16, 1909, in Lucedale and was a former resident of Moss Point. She was a retired private duty nurse and was a Reorganized Latter Day Saint.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Edward Troy Rogers and Sam Carter; a son, Edward Troy Rogers Jr.; a daughter, Greta M. Green; a grandson, Edward Troy Rogers III; three granddaughters, Cynthia Ann Green, Saundra Gail Green and Odessa Myers Shockley; three brothers; and four sisters.
Survivors include two daughters, Eloise Park of Knoxville and Carolyn Wells of Irvington, Ala.; a son, Dalton Rogers of Moss Point; two sisters, Winnienell Miller of Lucedale and Neldred Joiner of California; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point. A service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel with burial in Griffin Cemetery in Moss Point.
