"Frank Diebold Dies at Age 76

Frank Diebold, 76, lifelong resident of Madison, died at his home at 129 Lathrop st. Wednesday afternoon after a long illness.

Mr. Diebold was a retired stone cutter and was employed years ago at the Paunauck stone works, an old Madison firm. He was also an active race horse trainer and at one time conducted sulky races on the ice on Madison lakes.

Surviving are his wife; a son, M. J. Diebold, Minneapolis; a daughter, Miss F. H. Diebold, Kalamazoo, Mich., and four grandchildren. Also surviving are several brothers and sisters all of Madison.

The body was taken to the Ryan funeral home where private services will be held. The family has requested that flowers be omitted."
