Elizabeth married Herman Wiegman September 14, 1872. They had ten children: Edward, Frederick, John, Dorothy, George, Alma, Annie, William, Sophie & Carrie.
OBITUARY:
MRS. H.F. WIEGMAN DIED SUDDENLY LAST SUNDAY NIGHT
Betsy Ann Clark was born in Lincolnshire, England, March 20, 1851, and died at her home in Pocahontas, Iowa, May 17, 1925, at the age of 74 years, 1 month and 17 days. At the age of nineteen she came with her parents to settle on a farm in Michigan. In 1872 she married Herman F. Wiegman. They resided on a farm in Michigan for nine years, after which, in 1881, they moved to Iowa and settled on a farm in Pocahontas county, between Pocahontas and Rolfe. Here they lived for many years, sharing together the hardships of pioneer life among the early settlers of the county.
About ten years ago, when no longer able to carry on the labor necessary on the farm, they moved to Pocahontas where they have enjoyed their comfortable home together until her call came early Monday morning after a very brief illness.
To Mr. and Mrs. Wiegman, ten children were born, two of whom died in infancy. Those surviving are, Mrs. Dora Cornwell and Mrs. Frank Gilleland, both of Morton, Minnesota: Mrs. Joseph Hertz and Mrs. Alden C. Jones of Humboldt; Fred and John of Claude, Texas' Edward of Rolfe, and George C., of Pocahontas.
Besides the husband and children, she leaves two sisters and six brothers, and a host of friends made by her wide acquaintance cultivated during the may years lived in the county.
The funeral services will be held at two o'clock Thursday afternoon from the Methodist Church of which she has been a member for many years and burial will be made in the Rolfe cemetery.
