WARD ACORD, 63, IS DEATH VICTIM

Ward Acord, 63, of Fairdale, died in a local hospital at 2:30 p.m. Friday following a long illness.

Born May, 1900, at Bolt, he was a son of the late John and Della Calloway Acord.

He had worked in Glen Rogers and was a farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Sara Acord; two daughters, Mrs. Murphy Cook of Eccles. and Mrs. Johnny Bolash of Toledo, Ohio; three sisters, Mrs. James R Curtis and Mrs. Ted Jennings of Oak Grove, and Mrs. Oley Richmond of Bolt; three, brothers, Walter and Clayton of Glen Fork and Cleat of Prosperity; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Sunday at the Coal Marsh Baptist Church, Glen Daniel, with the Rev. M. H. Dinsmore officiating.

Burial will follow in the family cemetery at Bolt.

The body will remain at the Melton Mortuary where friends may ca1l after 2 p.m., today and will be taken to the church one hour prior to services.

Pallbearers will be Dallie Allen, Havlin Covey, Weir Covey, Codey Daniel, Robert Fanning, Claude Walker Jr., Layden Griffith, and George Blankenship.
