OBit: J D Johnson Funeral Services This Afternoon
Funeral services for James Daniel Johnson, 64 year old, who died Friday, will be held this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock in the First Baptist church.
He died of a heart attack.
Rev W. H. Colson will officiate, assisted by Rev C. W. Henson of Carey.
Johnson is survived by his widow; five daughters, Mrs. W.T. Zuber and Mrs. A. L. Robinson of Morton, Mrs. Floyd Evans of Glenrose, Mrs. Jack Jones of San Angelo and Mrs. Jess Vandiver of Childress; a son, Ewell of Chickasha, OK; two brothers, A. N. of Abernathy and W. T. of Hale Center, two sisters, Mrs. P. D. Parrish of Carey and Mrs J. W. Arnn of Denver, Colo, and 18 grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Roscoe Cagle, S. O. Jones, Nolan Evans, Arch Hayes, Gene McCain and V. O. Hoover.
In charge of flowers will be Miss Eaveline Tosh and Mmes. Lue Raglin, Madeline McCain, Charlie Moore, W. A. King, Mary Jones and Frances Morris.
Interment will be in the Childress cemetery under the direction of the McMinn Funeral Home. Mr Johnson was reared near Sidney, Arkansas, and had a number of relatives from that area.
