DEATH VICTIM
Perry Franklin Bowles, 58-year-old farmer, route 2, Statesville, died at 10:30 a.m. today at Davis Hospital following a serious illness of two weeks.
A native of Iredell County, he was born February 27, 1907, a son of the late Doll and Mary Guy Bowles. He was married to the former Hessie Pharr, who survives. He was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ralph Rhyne and Mrs. Bess Cook, both of route 2, Statesville; three sisters, Mrs. Frank Lackey of Stony Point, Mrs. Spencer Sprinkle, route 2, Statesville, and Mrs. Mary Peterson of Charlotte; four brothers, Ernest, Tom, and Joe Bowles, all of route 2, Statesville, and Foy Bowles of Statesville; and a grandchild.
The body remains at Johnson Funeral Home pending completed funeral plans.
