Rites Set for Mrs. R. Adams
Mrs. Richard Adams died Monday evening in her home in Clearwater, Fla.
Funeral services have been arranged for Saturday at 2 p.m. at the First Methodist Church in Armstrong.
She is the former Oreta Madden of Armstrong. Survivors include her brother, Leonard Madden, Armstrong, and a nephew, Wallard Bannister, Estherville.

Mrs. R. Adams Rites Saturday
Mrs. Richard (Oreta [Augusta]) Adams, 72, died from a heart attack Monday, Dec. 28, at her home at Clearwater, Fla.
She was born Dec. 18, 1889, to Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Madden at Whittemore. As a child, she moved with her parents to Halfa, and attended schools at Ringsted and Halfa. She received her nurse's training at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, and was a registered nurse.
She married R.C. Adams, June 21, 1922, at her parents' home in Halfa. They made their home in Des Moines until her husband retired about 14 years ago, then made their home at Clearwater, Fla.
Survivors are her husband, Richard; two sons, Richard and Robert, both living at Hoyt Lakes, Minn.; one daughter, Mrs. George (Ruth Ann) Cone, a missionary in Africa; eleven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Leonard Madden, Armstrong; five sisters Mrs. Vera Fisher, Des Moines, Mrs. Zatha Myklebust, Alexandria, Minn., Mrs. Martin (Avis) Jensen, Mankato, Mrs. Lawrence (Elsie) Heine, Waverly, and Mrs. Verne (Irene) Heine, Fort Myers, Fla.
Preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Services will be held Saturday 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, Armstrong, with the Rev. Travis Cannaday officiating. Burial will be in the Armstrong Grove Cemetery.
The pallbearers will be her nephews.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Friday until noon on Saturday. Reese-Henry Funeral Home of Armstrong will be in charge.
