John William Parish was born May 23, 1861 in Indiana to John and Mathilda (Luther) Parish, though his given name was John he often went by William. William never married, he was a farmer and laborer. He lived in Daviess County, Indiana for a time as well as Lawrence County, he died on February 11, 1914 near Yockey in Lawrence County, Indiana at age 52. William was buried in Bass Cemetery on February 13, 1914.
