Graveside services will be held Friday, June 4, with Rev. Ralph Farmer officiating. Burial will be in the Nichols Cemetery, Nichols, Iowa.
William Frederick Schneider was born November 26, 1894, in Cedar County, the son of Jurgen and Wilhelmina (DeMuth) Schneider. He received his education in the Cedar County schools. He married Edith May (Smith) Goebal in 1931, in West Liberty. Together they farmed all their married life in Cedar County, until they retired to West Liberty. They had no children. Edith preceded him in death on April 30, 1978.
Surviving are two sisters, Alma (Henry) Heick of West Liberty and Minnie Schroeder of Tipton; two brothers, Fred and LeRoy Schneider, both of West Liberty; one step-daughter, Eileen Pippo of Sacramento, CA; one step-son, Chester Goebal of Plant City, FL; six step-grandchildren; and 11 step-great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, five sisters and four brothers.
