LeRoy F. Schneider, 83, passed away Monday, March 10, 1997, at the Simpson Memorial Home in West Liberty.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 12, Baker Funeral Home in West Library.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Thursday, March 13, at Barker Funeral Home in West Liberty, with the Rev. Ralph Farmer officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Ridge Cemetery, West Library, Iowa.

LeRoy Fred Schneider was born January 8, 1914, in Cedar County, the son of Fred and Minnie (DeMuth) Schneider. He graduated from West Liberty High School class of 1932. He married Virginia Sylvia Bennett on October 9, 1937, in Muscatine. Together they farmed north of West Liberty, until they retired and moved to West Liberty.

Surviving are his wife, Virginia; one son, Samuel (Mary) Schneider of West Liberty; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one sister, Alma Heick of West Liberty.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one granddaughter, six sisters and five brothers.
