George Jacob Wiederholt was born in Sinsinawa, Wisconsin on August 29, 1908, to parents Joseph and Catherine (Weber) Wiederholt. Around 1910 his family moved to a farm northwest of Lisbon, North Dakota.

He was a Veteran of WWII from June 5, 1942 to December 18, 1945 as Tech 5 in the US Army 29th Engineering Corps.

In 1943 George married the widow Dona "Betty" Elizabeth Leary. They settled in Portland, Oregon. George was a millman for the Monte's Furniture Manufacturing Company.

He passed away on January 5, 1958 at the Providence Hospital in Portland after a long illness. He leaves his wife Betty, and a daughter Joanne; brothers Arthur, Bernard, Carl, Henry,Leo, Martin, and Vincent Wiederholt; sisters, Mary Veronica Schmit, and Angeline Wolfer. Preceded him in death were his parents and a brother, Joseph Wiederholt.

Recitation of Holy Rosary will be held on Wednesday, January 8th at 8 pm at Jacobson's Memorial Chapel. Funeral cortege will leave Jacobson Family Chapel at 9:20 am thence to St. Peter's Catholic Church where the Requieum Mass will be offered Thursday, January 9th at 9:30 am. Father Patrick Dooley officiating. Interment at Willamette National Cemetery.
