Bernard "Ben" Valentine Wiederholt was born August 23, 1893, in Jamestown, Wisconsin to parents Joseph and Catherine Weber Wiederholt. His family moved to Lisbon, North Dakota in 1910 to live on a farm northwest of Lisbon.

On February 6, 1918 Bernard married Mary "Catherine" Pizek at St. Leo's Catholic Church, at Pipestone, Minnesota. They had two sons.

Ben was a WWI Veteran. He was inducted at Lisbon, North Dakota on March 29, 1918 and sent to Camp Dodge, Iowa. He saw action overseas from June 4, 1918 to May 24, 1919. He was discharged at Camp Dodge, Iowa on June 1, 1919 as a Private.

In 1938 he moved his family to Eugene, Oregon, where he worked in the lumber industry and later for the railroad.

Ben passed away on October 3, 1961. Preceded him in death was his son Frances. He is surived by his wife Catherine and son Kenneth Wiederholt of Eugene, Oregon.

Recitation of the Rosary will be held at the Poole-Larsen Chapel, Friday, October 6th at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Saturday, October 7th at 9:30 AM. Concluding service will be held at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cememtery.
