On November 15, 1839. Karna and Hans Anderson were married. Hans was born in Torna, Sweden, to Andrs Carlson and Hanna Parsson. Hans worked as a laborer during his entire life.
They joined the LDS Church in 1864. Four years later, when Hans was sixty-two, he and Karna set sail for America. With them were their daughter, Karna (Caroline), and her infant son who Hans Anderson died during the voyage. They settled in Millville. Their two other living children later joined them.
In June 1874, Hans and Karna made the long trip to Salt Lake City and were sealed in the Endowment House by Wilford Woodruff.
Children of Hans and Karna are: Andrew (Hanna Nilson), Hanna (ala Larson), Caroline (Johannes Anderson), Jans, Elna, Niels (Mary Nielson).
