Oke Olsen Nielson was born in Getinge, Halland, Sweden, the son of Neils Olsen and Hanna Akesson.

Oke married Hannah Anderson in 1873 in Millville, Utah. Hannah was born in Akarp Gislov, Malmohus, Sweden, the daughter of Nils Olson Anderson and Arna O. Larson.

The children of Oke and Hannah are; Hannah Matilda, Anna Augusta, Emma Beata, Hilma Amanda, Joseph Alvin, Lydia Josephine, Orson Alma, John William and Selma Alta.

On February 28, 1876, Oke married Louisa Anderson as a plural wife in Salt Lake City, Utah. Louisa and Hannah were sisters. Louisa was born in Akarp Gislov, Malmohus, Sweden, the daughter of Nils Olson Anderson and Arna O. Larson.

The children of Oke and Louisa were; Alfred Allifi, Anna Louisa, Nels Oliver and Ida Augusta.

Oke Emigrated from Copenhagen, Denmark in 1866. He and his sister, Sissa, and her three sons, and sister Elsie and her four daughters, left together. Two years later, two of his other sisters, Ingar and Karna, joined them in Millville.
Oke was 38 when his first child was born and 60 years old when his last child was born.
