Phoebe Cowley Blackburn, 81, passed away in Lovell at the home of her daughter. She was born April 7, 1899 in Farmington, Utah, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Heap Cowley.

She has been a resident of the Big Horn Basin for the past 51 years. She was a member of the L.D.S. Church and the Ladies Auxiliary to the V.F.W. She married James Amos Blackburn November 5, 1920 in Logan, Utah. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by 2 sons, Amos of Sandy, Utah and Clair of Phoenix, Arizona; 3 daughters, Rinnie Dalton of Lovell, Pearl Downer of Powell, Wyoming, and LaNora Willis of Billings, Montana; 2 brothers, Floyd Cowley of Billings, Montana and Marion Cowley of Byron, Wyoming; 2 sisters, Mrs. Pauline Monk of Lovell, Wyoming and Mrs. LaRu Stevens of Salt Lake City, Utah; 24 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 28th at the L.D.S. Stake House in Lovell. Interment will be in the Lovell Cemetery.
