Amos Cowley Blackburn 1921 ~ 2006 Amos Cowley Blackburn, 84, passed away on Aug. 25, 2006, in West Valley City, Utah. He was born on Dec. 3, 1921, in Penrose, Wyoming to James Amos Blackburn and Pheobe Cowley. He married Martha Viola Nation on March 23, 1956. His hobbies and accomplishments were computers, online Real Estate, Home Inspector (present project), home repair, mechanic, macram‚, latch hook and spoiling his wife. He is survived by his wife Martha of West Valley; sons, Reno, Alvin, Marvin of West Valley, UT; Kevin Blackburn, of Clifton, CO; daughters, Sheryl Malone of Oklahoma City, OK; Janet Stratton of Syracuse, UT; Marci Wright of West Valley; 35 grandchildren, 26 great-grand-children; sister Pearl Downy of Cody, WY. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Stephen J. Blackburn, brother Clair Blackburn, sisters Rinnie Dalton, LaNora Blackburn, nephew Robert Blackburn, grandson Billy Amos Blackburn. The family would like to thank the Rocky Mountain Care Facility for their wonderful care and also Pioneer Valley ICU Staff. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 1, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Mountain View Memorial, 3115 East 7800 South, (Bengal Blvd) Salt Lake City, Utah. Family and friends may call Thursday, August 31, 2006 from 7-9 p.m. Interment at Mountain View Memorial. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.celebratinglife-ut.com
