LINDON, Utah County -- Mrs. Mary Venola Slaugh Nelson, 44, died Tuesday morning at her home following an illness of three yearsl
Mrs. Nelson was born October 5, 1907, in Vernal, a daughter of Isaac Ivory and Sarah Ellen Johnson Slaugh. On August 17, 1930, she married to James Victor Nelson in Craig, Colorado. The marriage was solemnized in the Salt lake Temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, May 25, 1948.
Survivors include her husband, Lindon; five sons and daughters, Ray W. Nelson, with the U. S. Navy at Washington, D. C.; Max J. Barbara, James Allen and Ronald Kent Nelson, all of Lindon; her mother of Vernal; four brothers, Fred and Angus Slaugh, Vernal; Henry Slaugh, Orderville; three sisters, Mrs. Erma Smuin and Mrs. Idella Smuin, Vernal; and Mrs. Leonard Allen, Orem.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. in Lindon LDS Ward Chapel by LeGrand Erchanbreck. Additional services will be conducted Friday at 1 p.m. in the Davis LDS Ward Chapel, by Hyrum Slaugh, bishop.
Burial will be in Maeser Cemetery. Friends may call at the home of Mrs. Emma Smuin Friday until time of service.
