Relatives received word of the death of Mrs. Myrtle Goltry Pepper, 86, at Corning, Iowa March 17, 1967 after a stroke in December. She was a former resident of Russell, the youngest of 12 children of John and Barbara Goltry. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by six sisters, five brothers, her husband and daughter Doris. She leaves to mourn her departure, a daughter, Mrs. Phyllis Bergman with whom she lived and a son, Howard Pepper, both of Corning. Myrtle was graduated from Russell High School in the late 1890's and taught school for a time before her marriage.
