James Averett was the son of Charles Washington and Emily Seely Averett. He married Elnora "Nora" Christina Anderson on March 11, 1907. They were the parents of May Elizabeth, Zella Uneda, James Franklin, Ruth, Ida and Doria Averett.

PRICE, Carbon County- James Averett, 75, died Saturday afternoon at his residence after a lingering illness.

Born Feb. 6, 1884, Mt. Pleasant, Sanpete County, to Washington and Elizabeth Coates Averett. Married Nora C. Anderson March 31, 1908, Clear Creek, Carbon County. Retired tippleman at a Clear Creek mine. Meber Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; United Mine Workers Local 6788.

Survivors: widow, Price; four daughters, Mrs. C.N. (Mae) Snow, Castle Gate; Mrs. S.L. (Zella) Wiseman, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Fred (Ruth) Sever, Spring Glen, Carbon County; Mrs. William (Doris) Llewelyn, Dragerton; son, James F., Price; 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren' one brother, Frank Averett, Redding, Calif.

Funeral Tuesday 11:30 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Chapel, Price, where friends may call Tuesday prior. Burial Price City Cemetery.
