Mrs. George A. Eldridge, 82, died early Sunday at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Lindsley, 383 Grove street, Fond du Lac, after a lingering illness.
Born September 18, 1868, in New Holstein, the daughter of John and Ann Wichman, she was married to George Eldridge on May 19, 1896. The couple made their home in New Holstein since their marriage. Mrs. Eldridge was a member of the Ebenezer Evangelical and Reformed church at Chilton and the Ladies' Aid society of the church.
Survivors are two sons, Erwin of Fond du Lac and Laurence of Sheboygan Falls; a daughter, Mrs. Earl Lindsley, Fond du Lac; two sisters, Mrs. Herman Erbach of New Holstein and Mrs. Ed Reimers of Dale, Wis.; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Her husband preceded her in death October 26, 1947.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Ebenezer Evangelical and Reformed church at Chilton, with the Rev. Orval Egbert, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the New Holstein City cemetery.
