Mass of Christian Burial will be 2 p.m. today at St. Martin's Catholic Church, the Rev. Isidore Rozycki as celebrant. Burial will be at St. Martin's Cemetery.
Mrs. Filer was born Feb. 14, 1911 at Tours and married Joe W. Filer Jan. 26, 1932, in Tours.
She was a member of St. Martin's Catholic Church, the Catholic Daughters of America Court No. 829 in West, and St. Elizabeth Altar Society, where she had taken care of the altar for 33 years. She was vice president of KJZT No. 45 and had served on St. Martin's Parish Council for several years.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Matthew Filer of West, and Wesley Filer of Waco; three sisters, Bernadine Pavlicek and Elizabeth Fajkus, both of Tours; and Dora Cheves of Dallas; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The family has designated St. Martin's CCD Fund for memorials.
