FROSTBURG,MARYLAND —- Rose M. McKenzie, 79, of Frostburg, died Sunday, Feb. 12, 2006, at Sacred Heart Hospital. Born May 6, 1926, in Eckhart, she was the daughter of the late Michael Arnone and Lucy (Fabbri) Arnone. Rose was also preceded in death by one brother, Arnold Arnone; and one grandchild, Shawn Cunningham. Mrs. McKenzie graduated from Beall High School, and worked at Workman's Tastee Freeze, Frostburg, until she retired. She was a life-long member of Saint Michael's Catholic Church, member of the Sodality of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Court St. Michael 1058 Catholic Daughters of America, and the St. Michael Church Choir. Surviving are her husband, Donald J. McKenzie; three daughters, Donna Cook, Oakland; Anna Cunningham, Cumberland, and Tina Moore, Salisbury, Md.; three sons, Steven McKenzie, Brian McKenzie and Gregory McKenzie, all of Frostburg; two brothers, James Arnone Sr., Frostburg and Samuel Arnone, Baltimore; two sisters, Joan Brewer, Hagerstown and Linda Arnone, Charleston, S.C.; six granddaughters, Melanie Cook, Chambersburg, Pa., Janet Cook, Alexandria, Va., Megan Cunningham, Cumberland, Jennifer and Stephanie Moore, Salisbury, Pa. and Abbi Jo McKenzie, Frostburg; three grandsons, Dr. Jeffrey Cook, Danville, Joseph McKenzie, Frostburg, and Lucas McKenzie, Frostburg. Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, on Tuesday and Wednesday. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Michael's Catholic Church, Frostburg, on Thursday at 11 a.m., with the Monsignor Paul Byrnes and Father Michael P. Masich, O.F.M. Cap., as celebrants. Interment will be in the Frostburg Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Steven, Brian and Gregory McKenzie, Joseph Fabbri, Dr. Jeffery Cook and William Arnone.
