Jan 1895, widow in 1920), Laurena J. (Oct 1896 d. bef. 1910), Gertrude Blanche, Rose Marie, Arthur William, Grace Elizabeth, and Harry Wesley.

"Henry Scharf, Retired Farmer, Dies at Age 90"
Henry Scharf, 90, well-known retired Fort Dodge farmer, died Wednesday evening at Ellen's rest Home in Fort Dodge following a long illness.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Lutheran church. The Rev. H. J. Witzgall, pastor of the church, will officiate and burial will be in North Lawn cemetery. Friends may call at Bruces until 9:30 a.m. Saturday when the body will be taken to the church.
Mr. Scharf was born in Mendota, Ill., and came to Webster county with his parents as a boy.
His first wife, the former Bertha Kreinbring, died in 1903 and he married Miss Elsie Niebel in 1906. She preceded him in death in 1959. Mr. and Mrs. Scharf farmed four miles east of Fort Dodge until they retired twenty years ago. They continued to live on the home place until Mrs. Scharf died. Mr. Scharf was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church.
Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Emil Larson, Mrs. Harold Steburg, Mrs. Rose Hood, Mrs. Fred Brown, Blanche Schmoker, all of Fort Dodge and Mrs. Milton Porter, Duncombe; and two sons, Arthur W. of Fort Dodge and Harry of Bay St. Louis, Miss. There are 28 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
