MRS. CARRIE S. COINER

Mrs. Carrie Shaner Coiner, 84, of Rt. 3, Staunton, widow of Ervin M. Coiner, died in Waynesboro Community Hospital on Saturday morning (Nov. 27, 1965) following an illness of eight months.

She was born in Augusta County on Feb. 3, 1881, a daughter of the late Jacob L. and Annie E. Coiner Shaner. She was owner and operator of Mayfield Trailer Court in Fisherville.

Mrs. Coiner was educated at Mary Baldwin Seminary and was a member of Central Methodist Church. She was president of the Women's Bible Class, a member of the Isabel DeRuiter Circle and the Ministering Circle of King's Daughters.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. W.C. Taylor of Woodbury, N.J. and Mrs. R.L. Davies of Staunton; three sons, Carl A. Coiner, Edward S. Coiner, both of Waynesboro, and Wesley E. Coiner of Staunton, 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Henry Hanger of Staunton, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Burial will be in Thornrose Cemetery.
