Obituary: Services for Lorena Mae Gipson, 85,of Plainview will be at 2 pm. Wednesday in Lemons Funeral Home with the Rev A.C. Hamilton, former pastor of Finney Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Plainview Cemetery. She died at 3 p.m. Sunday in High Plains Nursing Home after a lenghty illness. She was born in Amarillo and grew up in Finney and attended Liberty schools and Watson Business College. She worked at Plainview Hospital and Seth Ward cafeteria. She married David S. Gipson 15 November 1922. He died September 25, 1937. She was a member of the Finney Baptist Church and the Baptist Missionary unit. Survivors include two sons, Glenn of Olton and Howard of McLean, two daughters Evodia Collis and Nelda Gorman both of Plainview, a brother Charlie Parks of Plainview, 24 great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild.
