Maggie Mae Chastain of Bedford, IN, died Thursday, February 20, 2003, at the Hospitality House. Born on April 7, 1915, in Clay County (Celina), TN, she was the daughter of Millard Turner and Joanne (Adams) Grogan. She married Allen Grogan, and he preceded her in death. She married Ray Chastain in 1962, and he died in 1984.

Surviving are four sons: Marvin Grogan and David Michael Grogan, both of Bedford, IN; Jack D. Grogan of Florida, and Millard Grogan of Shoals, IN; four daughters: Luella Jones and Zelma Cole, both of Mitchell, IN, and Shirley Ann Yaney and Naomi Sue McDaniel, both of Bedford, IN; two sisters, Lena Belle Jennings of Tennessee and Hazel Cooke of Indianapolis, IN; one brother, Junior Grogan of Tennessee; three sisters-in-law: Ila Mae Meadow of Bedford, IN, Juanita French of Bloomington, IN, and Betty Roach of Avoca, IN; forty grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two husbands; one son, Bobby Lee Grogan; and three daughters: Imilda Lessig, Eva Oliver, and Penny Grogan.

She was a homemaker, a member of Rock Springs Church of Christ in Celina, TN, and a former member of the Eagles Club Auxilliary.

Services for Maggie Chastain will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 24th, at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home with Dean Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery.
