Bobby L. Grogan of Bedford, IN, died Saturday, July 8, 2000, at Bloomington Hospital. Born on October 17, 1930, in Lawrence County, IN, he was the son of Oscar A. and Maggie {Grogan} Grogan. He married Norma Flinn on October 16, 1950.
Surviving are his former wife, Norma of Mitchell, IN; two sons, Dennis Grogan of Bedford, IN, and Keith Grogan of Mitchell, IN; four daughters: Viola Brown and Lisa Middleton, both of Mitchell, IN, Debbie Johnson of Bedford, IN, and Cathy Chapman of Oolitic, IN; his mother, Maggie Chastain of Bedford, IN; four brothers: Marvin, David, and Jackie Grogan, all of Bedford, IN, and Millard Grogan of Shoals, IN; five sisters: Louella Jones, Zelma Cole, and Imilda Lessig, all of Mitchell, IN, and Shirley Yaney and Naomi Sue McDaniels, both of Bedford, IN;sixteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, one aunt, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; step-father, Ray Chastain; two sister, Eva Oliver and Penny Grogan.
He worked for the Bedford Street Department and was a member of Moose Lodge #689 and Eagles Lodge #654.
Services for Bobby Grogan will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 12th, at the Day & Carter Mortuary with Johnny Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery.
