Zelpha Loucks was born to Zora Loucks on Sep 22, 1907. She married Walter Stewart Sellers on Apr 10, 1926. They had four children: Charles Walter, Zora Maude, Mary Rosemond, and Darrell Earnest. Zelpha got an ear ache in May 1936, which turned into pneumonia. Once hospitalized, her pneumonia turned into pneumonococcus Meningitis and she died Jun 6, 1936.

Her obituary reads: Mrs. Walter Sellers passed away at 1:30 Sunday afternoon at the Community Hospital following an illness that lasted about six weeks. Zelpha Etha Elverda VanDusen was born September 22, 1907 at Jewell City. She was married April 10, 1926 to Walter Sellers. She is survived by her husband, Walter Sellers; her step father, Ed VanDusen of Jewell; three children, two sisters, Velda VanDusen and Mrs. Ardyce Whitmore, of Jewell; and two aunts, Mrs. A.C. Remus of Beloit and Mrs. E.N. Topliff of Jewell. She was a member of the Mayview Christian church. A good wife and neighbor, her passing will be mourned besides her family, by all her friends and acquaintances.
