Velda Elnora Larkins, age 90, died July 4, 2005. Born August 24, 1914, Jewell, Kansas, one of three girls born to Edson and Zora (Loucks) Van Dusen. She was raised by her aunt and uncle, Mida and Ezra Topliff and graduated high school in Jewell. Preceded in death by husband Russell February 1991; daughters Marlene Komorowski in 1974 and Mary Katherine Larkins in 1946, and sisters Zelpha and Ardyce.
