Mrs. Elmira C. Gaylord Dies at White Plains.
Mrs. Elmira C. (Kate) Gaylord, age 80 years, died at the home of her niece, Mrs. W. J. Eneas of White Plains, last Saturday, after a lingering illness. She had been ill with paralysis for some time.
The deceased had made her home with a sister, niece and her husband for some time, and was widely acquainted with residents of that section of the county. She was identified with some of Chambers County's most prominent people.
The funeral service was held from the home last Sunday afternoon, with Rev. C. M. Treadaway, pastor of the deceased; Rev. C. M. Meiere, pastor of the local Baptist church, and Dr. John W. Ham, of Atlanta, and Rev. O. A. Bonner, nephews, being the officiating ministers. Mr. W. P. Martin, of this city, rendered the music.
Pallbearers were her nephews, W. L. and W. F. Dorman, O. A. and B. W. Bonner, W. B. and J. E. Wilson.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. L. C. Lawson, with whom she was living, and Mrs. E. A. Bonner, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Interment was in the Dorman and Wilson Cemetery. Robinson & Cutler, local undertakers in charge of arrangements.
