"The LaFayette Sun" - October 2, 1901:

Chiggerville Chattering - The many friends of Mr. Wm. L. Dorman, of Chapel Hill, were pained to learn of his death, which sad event occurred last Sunday, after an illness of several days. His remains were interred in the cemetery at Rock Spring on Monday, The funeral services being conducted by Rev. J. L. Thompson, of LaFayette. The bereaved ones have our sympathy.

AND...

Paragraphings - The death of Mr. W. L. Dorman, of Chapel Hill, removed from the walks of men one of Chambers’ most highly esteemed citizens. By his death we are reminded that the old soldiers who fought with Lee, Jackson, Gordon and other brave leaders are fast crossing the line, which divides this world from the great beyond. Mr. Dorman leaves the heritage of a good name and an orderly life to those left behind. The burial took place Monday at Rock Spring.

AND...

Hoottalocco - Our community is again saddened by the dark angel of death. After two week’s illness Mr. W. L. Dorman died at his home Sunday afternoon. He was one of Chambers County’s most highly respected citizens. Was at one time circuit clerk and once tax assessor of the county. He was also a maimed Confederate soldier. He leaves a wife and two sons to mourn his death. We deeply sympathize with them. He was about sixty years of age.

October 9, 1901:
