Buck married Henrietta WIGGINS on 06 Apr 1931 in Webster Parish LA and they had seven children: Minnie Ola, Mary Etta (Tootsie), Baby Boy, George David, Martha Louise, William Jasper & Juanita ROWELL.

Services for William C. "Buck", Rowell, 81, were held at 10 a.m., Thursday, January 9, 1992 at Rockett Funeral Home Chapel in Ringgold. Officiating was Rev. Victor Kelly and Rev. Jerry Sheffield. Burial was held in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Ringgold. Mr. Rowell died Tuesday, January 7, 1992 at his home in Jamestown.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Henrietta Rowell; one son, George D. Rowell and daughter Minnie Ola Harris.
Survivors include one son, William J. Rowell of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; three daughters, Mary "Tootsie" Bogan of Ringgold, Martha Caskey of Bossier City and Juanita Woodall of Jamestown; one daughter-in-law, Mary Nell Rowell of Jamestown; three brothers, John L. Rowell of Ringgold, Tommy Rowell of Proctor, Ark. and J.C. Rowell of Castor, three sisters, Adell Tingle of Ringgold, Roberta Killingsworth of Campti and Mary Jane Boyce of Minden; 12 grand-children and 16 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were grandsons.
