Odee was the son of Johnny Carl ROWELL and Sarah Jane BASINGER. He married Annie Eliza FOWLER on 01 Sep 1934 in Bienville Parish LA.

OBITUARY:
Funeral services for Odee Rowell, 56, of 3151 Chestnut St., will be conducted at 11 a.m. today at the First National Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Rowell died at 11:05 p.m. Monday at P&S Hospital after an extended illness.
A native of Jamestown, he had been a resident of Shreveport several years. He was a retired employee of the Cotton Belt Railroad.
Survivors include his widow; one son, Johnny Rowell of Shreveport; one daughter, Mrs. Jerry Shuler, also of Shreveport; four sisters, Mrs. Ora Lee Todd of Ringgold, Mrs. Adel Tingle of Jamestown, Mrs. Roberta Killingsworth of Coushatta and Mrs. Mary Jo Boyce of Minden; six brothers, R. T. Rowell and William Rowell, both of Jamestown, R. C. Rowell, John L. Rowell and J. C. Rowell, all of Ringgold, and Tommy Rowell of Memphis, Tenn.; and eight grandchildren.
The Rev. George Carkeet, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Greenwood, will officiate at the services. Graveside rites will be conducted at 1 p.m. today at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Ringgold.
