Mrs. Jesse Alford Dies

Mrs. Jesse Alford, wife of Supervisor J C Alford, of Beat One, died at her home
near Houston Thursday morning following an illness of several months.

Mrs. Alford was a member of the Methodist Church since early in life, being
loyal to its teachings throughout her life. She endeared herself to her friends
and neighbors by her many Christian traits.

The funeral was conducted Friday at Rhodes Chapel, followed by interment in the
cemetery at Rhodes Chapel. The services were conducted by Rev. A C Clark, of
Vardaman.

Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Oris Guest, of Houston,
her mother, Mrs. M E Fisher, of Houston and several brothers and sisters, who
are: J A Martin, of Houston; Blaine Martin of Calhoun City; Bailey Martin of
West Memphis; M C Martin of Vardaman; F O Martin of Winona; Mrs. Lilly Aycock
and Mrs. Agnes Aycock of Blytheville, Ark. the Times Post joins other friends
in extending sympathy to Mr. Alford and other relatives.
