Mr. Jessie Alford Dies after Lengthy Illness
From Rhodes Chapel Saturday morning, funeral services were held for Mr. Jessie
Alford, who died Friday at the home of his father, W M Alford, following an
illness of long duration. The Rev. O L Elliott, pastor of the Methodist Church,
officiated. Burial was in the nearby cemetery, the Hill Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Alford was a native of this county where he spent practically all his life.
He was around 50 years of age. He was twice married. He served as supervisor
for beat one several years.
In addition to his father he leaves a daughter, Mrs. Patterson and granddaughter
and two brothers, Horne and Anderson Alford.
