The Barrow families belonged to the Greenville Christian church.
Ellsworth Barrow died of a cerebral hemorrhage on July 9, 1942, at Brandon Hospital in St. Francois Township, Wayne County, Missouri. His funeral was the last one held in the Greenville Christian Church before it was torn down. His funeral took place on July 13, 1942, and he was buried in Greenville Cemetery, Missouri, south side of Highway 67.
