Henry was born in Pulaski County, Kentucky on July 7th, 1943, son of the late John William Brumley and Ella Hart Brumley. He was a self-employed handyman and attended the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ. He loved to play pool.
Henry was survived by his wife, Janice Grandstaff Brumley, whom he married in Pulaski County, Kentucky on May 14th, 1969; four sons, Henry (and Zoe) Brumley Jr., Johnny (and Lexi) Brumley, Jerry (and Patricia) Brumley, and Lucas Brumley; four brothers, Johnny Brumley, Roy Brumley, William Brumley, and John "Junior" Brumley; five sisters, Lucille Prestonell, Wanda McCartney, Ella Mae Daniels, Mary Mitchell, and Betty Ann Gleason; seven grandchildren, Zoeie, Lee Anna, Nick, Haylee, Matthew, Scott, and Gracie Brumley; and a host of other family and friends who mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John William Brumley, who departed this life on August 4th, 1974 and Ella Brumley, who departed this life on April 11th, 1969; three brothers, Glenn Brumley, who departed this life on December 31st, 2003, Earnest James Brumley, who departed this life on May 12th, 2005, and Gene Autry Brumley, who departed this life on October 17th, 2005; and one sister, Iva Dean Brumley Cooper, who departed this life on February 3rd, 2003.
Visitations were held after 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 3rd, 2009 at the Lake Cumberland Funeral Home in Somerset, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 4th, 2009 in the Chapel of the Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Rev. Matera Bumpus officiating.
Burial followed in the Renfro Cemetery in Shopville, Kentucky.
