Gene Brumley, 67, Speedway Drive, Somerset, died Monday, October 17, 2005.

He was born September 21, 1938 in Somerset, son of the late John and Ella Hart Brumley. He was a painter and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include three sons, Frankie (and Marie) Brumley, Ricky (and Trenda) Brumley, and Randy (and Kristy) Brumley, all of Somerset; a daughter, Pam (and Tim) Jones, Somerset; a stepdaughter, Tina (and Joe) Moreno, Somerset; five brothers, Henry and Johnny Brumley, both of Somerset, and Roy, William, and John Brumley, all of Ohio; five sisters, Mary Mitchell, Wanda McCarter, and Betty Gleason, all of Ohio, Lucille Presnell, Somerset, and Ella Mae Jasper, Brodhead; 12 grandchildren, Lisa Mayfield, Bonnie Christine Brumley, Crystal Bush, Jessica Bush, Larissa Dawn Brumley, Samantha Jones, Kacie Jones, Frankie Danielle Brumley, Connor Brumley, Christopher Bolin, Dustin Matthew Brumley, and Joshua Allen Bolin; and five great-grandchildren, Kevin Cook, Brincen Allen Bolin, Jayden Bush, Autumn Bush, and Taylor Mayfield.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Bieker Brumley, whom he married September 28, 1985 in Somerset, and who died July 15, 2001; his parents; two brothers, Glenn and James Brumley; and two sisters, Iva Dean Cooper and Maxine Brumley.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, October 20, at the chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Scotty Nix officiating.

Burial will be in Ringgold Cemetery, Somerset.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 11 a.m. Thursday, until time for services.
