"The Kinmundy Express" - Aug. 24, 1972

Frank J. Garrett, 74, of Alma, passed away Monday, Aug. 21, at 1:25 a.m. in his home.

He was born March 5, 1889 in Foster township, the son of James William and Barbara E. Lansford Garrett.

He was united in marriage to Pearle Jones, Nov. 8, 1919, who survives. Other survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Donna Beard, Alma; Mrs. Gladys Chandler, Pontiac; one son, Emmett, Odessa, Texas; a sister, Mrs. Esta Robb, Kinmundy; nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Mr. Garrett was a retired farmer and a member of the Alma United Methodist Church.

Funeral services were held today (Wednesday) at 2 p.m. from the Linton Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Schmidt officiating.

Burial was made in Evergreen Cemetery.
