Green Valley, March 9 ~ Death came this afternoon about 12:30 to Judson Drake, aged 67, who succumbed to an attack of flu and pneumonia.
Mr. Drake was born on the Drake homestead three miles southwest of Green Valley, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Drake, Sr. He lived his entire life near here. He is survived by four sisters: Miss Delia and Sallie Drake, Green Valley, mrs. Lucy Pugh of Green Valley, and Mrs. Addie Waltmire, of Belton, Md. Also he is survived by four brothers: Charles of Texas, and Webster, Correy, and Jonathan of Green Valley. No funeral arrangements have been made yet.

~Judson A. Drake, the third son of Jonathan C. and Sarah Shotwell Drake was born October 28, 1864 on the Drake farm two miles southwest of Green Valley and died on March 9, 1932, at his home in Green Valley. Much of his life was spent away from Green Valley but the last ten years before his death he made his home with his sister and brother. He was never married.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Humphrey M. and Arthur S.
In his youth he united with the Baptist church and was always a honest and upright man, often helping with the singing in the mission of the town where located.
