DEATH NOTICE: The Manti Messenger, Friday 8 March 1912:
Death from Appendicitis.
Joseph [S] Staker of Annabelle father of Mrs. Osmond Olsen of this city, died in Salt Lake Sunday. While working in the field Thursday he was stricken with appendicitis, he was taken to Salt Lake Friday and operated on that evening.
Mrs. Staker was at Pleasant Grove and started home Friday meeting her husband here. She and Mrs. Olsen accompanied him to Salt Lake. Monday they took the remains through to Annabelle, Mr. Olsen joining them here. The funeral was held yesterday. Mr. Staker was [61] years of age and leaves a wife and ten children.

Son of Nathan Staker & Jane Richmond. Husband of Sarah Brown.
