Vivian Dies Tuesday in Salt Lake Hospital

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Richfield First ward for Mrs. Vivian Staker Christiansen, 57, of Richfield, who died of a heart ailment at noon Tuesday in a Salt Lake hospital. Mrs. Christiansen had been ill the past two months and was taken to Salt Lake for treatment last week.

Mrs. Christiansen had been an active L.D.S. church worker and was the first president of the Sevier Count Daughter of Utah Pioneers, in which capacity she helped organize a number of the camps in the county. While residing in Salt Lake she was an officer in the Primary of the Forest Dale ward, and after coming to Richfield was active in the Relief Society. As a girl she worked in church organizations in the Annabella ward, and was a teacher in the Sevier district schools.

Born at Prattsville, Sevier County, May 26, 1881, Mrs. Christiansen was a daughter of Joseph S. and Sarah Brown Staker. She was the widow of Soren Christiansen, who died seven years ago.

Surviving are two sons and a daughter, Waid S. and Gail S. Christiansen and Mrs. Virginia Blomquist of Richfield; five grandchildren; her mother, who resides at Annabella; a brother, J.B. Staker of Annabella; five sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Payne and Mrs. Lydia Peacock of Los Angeles, Mrs. Cornelia Peterson of Fairbanks, Alaska; Mrs. Louine Lundgreen of Monroe and Mrs. Genevieve Olsen of Ogden. A twin sister, Mrs Virginia Cloward, died two years ago.
