George was my husband's 2nd great-granduncle.
He was the 8th of 10 children born to Elisha Bennett & Harriet CARPENTER Bennett.
His wife was Jerusha DAKINS. They had three daughters together:
Harriett Ellen (Robinson), Anna (Nelson, Footit), and Ina A. (Sherman, Thompson) Bennett.

Death of George Bennett
Aged resident passes away at the home of his nephew.
After an illness of only three days, George Bennett passed away at the home of his nephew, C.L. Eckels, in the town of Buena Vista. Deceased was born on Dec. 12, 1839, in Oswego county, NY.
When a boy he came to Wisconsin with his parents and made this state his home for the remainder of his life.
He is survived by his three daughters, Mrs. Ellen Robinson, Gordon, Wis., Mrs. Anna Nelson, Plover, and Mrs. Ina Bennett, Middleton, MI. Also two sisters, Mrs. S.M. Wanty and Mrs. H.A. Palmer, the latter being with him in his last sickness.
The funeral was held at the Liberty Corners M.E. church, Rev. Lane officiating, internment following in the cemetery near the church.
