Ralph R. Holmes, 214 Court Street, died at St Mary's Hospital at 11:35 p.m. after he had been a patient the past three months.
Born July 22, 1884 at Route 3, he was the son of Robert and Anna Holmes. He married Clara (Essling) Koenig Aug 19, 1946, in Streator.
His wife survives along with a sister, Mrs. John Lighholder of Streator, two step-daughters: Mrs. Berkely (Beverly) Anthony of North Hollywood, California and Mrs. Spencer (Katerina) Wellman, Cedar Falls, Iowa; five step-grandchildren and five nieces.
He was preceded in death by a brother David F. Holmes,
A resident of this area all of his life, he was a retired farmer and a member of the Christ Episcopal Church.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. today at Elias Funeral Home unil the time of services.
Services will be Tuesday at 2.p.m. from the funeral home with burial in Riverview Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to Christ Episcopal Church Memorial Fund.
