After several weeks of illness, the angel of death sealed the eyes of Mrs. John Klein with that sleep from which none wake to suffering or sorrow, on Thursday, December 21.
Louise Mueller was born in Sheboygan Dec. 6, 1851, but moved with her parents, when a child, to the town of Rhine, which had since been her home. On Feb. 17, 1876, she was married to John Klein at Kiel, who preceded her to the better country twelve years ago. They began their married life on the groom's farm in the town of Rhine, which after her husband's demise, she carried on successfully with the assistance of her children and hired help until her recent illness. On her birthday, Dec. 6th., she became unconcious and never again regained conciousness.
She was a faithful member of St. Peter's & Paul's Church of Kiel at which Requiem High Mass was said for her Saturday morning by Rev. Kolbe and from which she was buried Sunday afternoon.
St. Mary's Ladies' Society of which she was a member, escorted the remains to their last resting place in the Catholic Cemetery at Kiel. She is survived by 6 children and 10 grandchildren. The children are Mrs. Fred Zimmermann, Elkhart,Joe and Peter Klein, Kiel, Will and Louisa at home and Mrs. Arthur Kestell, Elkhart.
