John Mueller passed away at his home near Kiel of infirmities of old age, at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, having reached the age of 81 years.
He was born in Cornell-on-the-Hudson, New York, and came to Wisconsin in 1866. The family settled on a farm in the town of Schleswig, near Kiel. On Jan. 3, 1871 he was united in marriage to Margaretta Reichert, who died about four years ago. Mr. Mueller always enjoyed good health, up to about a week ago.
He was a hard worker and a devout member of the Sts. Peter & Paul congregation.
The survivors are, a son Valentine, and a daughter Magdeline, both a home; one brother Leonard of Milwaukee; three sisters, Mrs. Blatz and Mrs. Reinhard Becker of town Rhine, and Mrs. Diehl of Sheboygan.
The funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m., from Sts. Peter & Pauls church, with Rev. A. Roder in charge.
