Funeral of Mrs. Raymond Crites

Funeral services were held in the South Gildford congregation for Signe Pauline Crites, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Bakke. Mrs. Crites was born in 1912, attended school in Gildford and Lawrence Academy in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In 1932 she was united in marriage to Mr. Raymond Crites. Mrs. Crites died Oct. 3, 1936 at the Galen Sanitarium.

A family history paper, other research and some news articles indicate her hame should be spelled Signa rather than Signe although it's an old Norse name spelled either way meaning an omen or sign of victory.
