Mark Scott Mitchell, 51, a resident of Warren, Pa. most of his life, died Saturday evening, January 31, 2009 at Warren General Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born January 13, 1958 in Punxsutawney, Pa. to Robert S. Mitchell of Punxsutawney and the late Elsie Irene Barnett Mitchell. Mark was a 1977 graduate of Punxsutawney High School. He was known to express his creativity through artwork and especially enjoyed painting. He was an avid animal lover.
In addition to his father, he is survived by three siblings, Daniel Lee Mitchell and his wife, Susan, of Punxsutawney, Paula B. Shick and her husband, William, of East Stroudsburg, Pa., Robert S. Mitchell Jr., of Arizona; four stepsiblings, Janet Eickes, of Indianapolis, Ind., Kenneth Jeffrey Limerick and his wife, Barbara, of Ohl, Pa., Susan McCoy and her husband, Robert, Stacey Dominoe and her husband, Terry, all of Punxsutawney; several nieces and nephews also survive.
