Myrtle Marie Richardson Whited, 82, of Doran, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, at her home with her loving family by her side.

Born Aug. 24, 1925 in Russell County, Va., she was the daughter of the late Ranzy Dowell and Jennie Sloan Richardson. Mrs. Whited was of the Holiness faith and was the most loving and amazing mother, grandmother and friend.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Whited; two daughters, Doris Arlene Whited and Brenda Whited Grose; one infant son; one great grandson, Shane Campbell; and seven brothers, Dailey, Claude, Clyde, Jessie, Garnett, Albert and Paul Richardson.

She is survived by three sons, Ralph Whited and his wife Phyllis of Swords Creek, Va., Allen Whited and his wife Sandy of Doran, and Roger Whited and his wife Diane of Richlands, Va.; five daughters, Betty Miller and her husband Julius of Meadowview, Va., Joann Campbell of Doran, Darlene Keene and her husband Hubert of Archdale, N.C., Bonnie Hagy of Doran, and Connie Whited, also of Doran.

One sister, Mary Richardson of Raven, Va.; seventeen grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007, at Singleton Funeral Service Chapel at Cedar Bluff, Va., with the Rev. Jimmy Richardson, the Rev. Rusty Ward and the Rev. Don Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Va.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Whited, Barry Miller, Mark Grose, Matthew Whited, Ralph Campbell Jr., Tim Keene, and Nicolas Whited. Honorary pallbearers will be Anthony Hagy, Brian Miller, Darrell Campbell and Houston Wyatt.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. today and Tuesday at Singleton Funeral Service at Cedar Bluff.
